The idea behind Luz del Mar

The idea of Luz del Mar was born from the innovative vision of the Mau Architecture architects, who wanted to create a place where architecture would blend harmoniously with nature.

Inspired by the beauty of Guanacaste, our architects conducted an in-depth study of the socio-cultural context and history of the territory, wishing to design a village that not only respected the surrounding environment, but also improved the quality of life of the inhabitants.

The result is Luz del Mar, a project that celebrates the interaction between man and nature, offering a unique and constantly evolving living experience.

Natural Harmony Park

Located in the northern part of the Luz del Mar village, the Parque de la Armonía Natural is an oasis of beauty and tranquility. In the center, a large pool with organic forms blends harmoniously with the surrounding nature, while the internal paths wind through trees and shrubs, offering a unique immersive experience. Relaxation areas and a kiosk immersed in the water complete this corner of paradise, inviting you to enjoy serenity and direct contact with nature.

Astronomical Observatory

South of the Luz del Mar village, the Astronomical Observatory is located next to a natural well, immersed in the Bosque de los Sentidos. This green space, designed to stimulate the senses with tree and shrub essences with bright scents and colors, offers a serene refuge and a deep connection with nature. The observatory is a sanctuary for exploring the wonders of heaven and earth, inviting moments of tranquility and contemplation under the stars.

Plaza de la Luz y el Agua

In the heart of the Luz del Mar village, the Plaza de la Luz y el Agua is the center of the community. This large open area, with its central pool and water features, is surrounded by residential buildings and urban paths that intertwine, creating a dynamic and interactive environment. A light covered structure in the center hosts events, concerts and outdoor dinners, while the mobile tensile structures offer versatility for special occasions, making the square a vibrant and welcoming meeting place.

Villa Iguana, a distinctive residence in the Luz del Mar village, designed with careful integration with the surrounding natural environment.

Located between Paseo del Guanacaste and Avenida de las Palmas, Villa Iguana offers easy vehicle access and a direct connection with nature. Inside, a spacious living room acts as a fulcrum, welcoming a kitchen and living area that open onto a large outdoor porch, creating a continuum between indoor and outdoor spaces thanks to generous windows. The two double bedrooms, with private bathrooms, are arranged around a central nucleus. Outside, a shaded private space with a pergola offers parking.
