There’s a place where time slows down, sunsets glow with magic, and life flows to the rhythm of nature. I spent ten days in Costa Rica, in the Guanacaste region, as a guest of Flor de Pacifico, along with Riccardo, Natalie and a group of future residents and curious travelers. It wasn’t just a trip—it was a glimpse into what could become a whole new way of life.
We stayed in Village 5 Sueño al Mar, a peaceful complex just a short walk from the sea. The villas are cozy, fully equipped, and each has a private porch—perfect for relaxing in the morning or evening, surrounded by the sounds of nature.
Every day brought a new adventure: exploring beaches like Conchal, Flamingo, and Playa Grande, or heading into nature reserves such as Palos Alto, where we spotted monkeys, iguanas, crocodiles and a variety of tropical birds.
One of the most emotional moments was the catamaran tour. On our way to Playa de los Enamorados for a snorkeling stop in the crystal-clear ocean, we saw a group of dolphins swimming nearby. On the way back, the sky lit up in brilliant shades of orange and pink, giving us a breathtaking sunset over the sea.
Costa Rica is also about flavors, and we discovered them in small local restaurants—called sodas—where we tasted casado, ceviche, fresh fish, and fruit smoothies made with papaya and pineapple, all paired with an ice-cold local beer. It was a journey of the senses, as genuine as the people: the Ticos are kind, cheerful, and always ready to share the meaning of their favorite phrase: “pura vida”.
Among all the moments we lived, one perfectly captured the essence of Flor de Pacifico. One of the guests suggested an impromptu Italian-style lunch for the whole group: everyone contributed something—drinks, desserts, fruit—and we ended up around a big shared table, laughing and chatting. This is what makes Flor de Pacifico special: not just homes, but a living community, where you feel welcome and supported.
During our stay, we also visited other Flor de Pacifico villages and received helpful information from Riccardo and Natalie, who were always present with warmth and discretion. Each place we visited confirmed that this land, with its warm dry climate, crystal-clear sea, and quality of life, is ideal for those dreaming of moving to Costa Rica or escaping the cold to spend the winter under the sun.
Costa Rica is not just a travel destination—it’s a life choice. And Flor de Pacifico is there to guide you every step of the way, with the same spirit of those who truly love this country. My name is Elena, and I work in marketing with Flor de Pacifico. This was my personal experience—a journey that enriched me, both professionally and on a deeply human level.
